To use an Approved Caterer, take the following steps:
Step 1: Ensure your preferred caterer is a Mason Approved Caterer.
Check the current list of Mason Approved Caterers. If your preferred caterer is on the list, go to step 2. If they are not on the list you have two options:
Step 2: Complete Fiscal Services’ Food and Beverage process.

George Mason University is happy to partner with some great catering establishments in the local area to provide dynamic service to our community. Please review and complete the process outlined below to become one of our approved caterers.
All caterers or restaurants applying for Approved Caterer status must complete the following steps.

After completing the Approved Caterer Request Form, all documents above can be submitted in the following ways:

Reminder: Investigation of the application may not begin until all required documents have been received. Not providing the required documents is the primary cause of delay in the approval process.
Expect the approval process to take up to four weeks after receiving all required information and documents. All documentation will be reviewed by the Executive Director of Auxiliary Services. Once reviewed, an email will be sent with an approval or request for additional information.

Disclaimer: Please be advised that this list of Approved Licensed Caterers is subject to change throughout the year. Contracts between Mason and the off-campus caterers expire annually in June. In addition, certificates, permits, licenses, and other necessary documentation may expire prior to your planned event(s). Auxiliary Services & Operations (ASO) cannot guarantee approval status of any listed caterers at the time of your event. It is the responsibility of the off-campus caterer to ensure that all the required documentation is valid and up to date, in order to be listed as an Approved Licensed Caterer. ASO recommends that you verify the current approval status of your chosen caterer(s) closer to the event date to ensure compliance with all necessary documentation. Food Truck on Campus: Food truck events must be reviewed and approved. Please complete the Food Trucks on Campus Request Form for processing.
