HOW IT WORKS

The shopMason Brand Influencers assist in promoting the shopMason brand, supported by Auxiliary Services & Operations. The shopMason Influencers are responsible for engaging with the Mason community by promoting services and events via their campus presence, social circles, and social media platforms, including Instagram and YouTube. The purpose of the shopMason Brand Influencers is to generate interest in the George Mason community and drive quantifiable marketing engagement amongst our shopMason units.

Who We Are Looking For

Currently enrolled at George Mason University taking a minimum of 9 credits and be in good university standing
A following of 800+ on Instagram and/or YouTube and your account must be a public professional/creator account
Well-connected among student life with a strong network of student activities and organizations
Knowledgeable to the latest digital trends and platforms
Craft, create, and edit engaging and brand-friendly content
Ability to utilize your social network to identify relevant brand moments
Regularly collaboration with your fellow influencers and maintain communication with the shopMason Marketing team

Responsibilities

Promote shopMason events, promotions, and City of Fairfax initiatives on your social media channels to highlight the partnership and engage your audience.
Share information about shopMason services and Fairfax community programs while ensuring clear communication of brand messaging and product knowledge.
Create engaging content, including photos and videos, to visually showcase shopMason and Fairfax businesses, events, and activities.
Engage with shopMason and City of Fairfax content on social media to enhance visibility and community interaction.
Volunteer at shopMason events like Amplify, Kiosk Days, and Basketball Watch Parties, as well as community events in Fairfax, to support engagement and awareness.
Attend in-person training, monthly virtual meetings, and content creation days to stay aligned with program goals and the partnership with the City of Fairfax.
